Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA) Certified Course:

Clinical Cannabinoid Medicine Curriculum

(bulk pricing available)

This online CME-certified curriculum is designed to educate physicians who wish to register with The State Medical Board of Ohio to recommend patients for the medical use of marijuana under The Ohio Medical Marijuana Control Program.

To recommend medical marijuana in Ohio, all physician applicants must complete, annually, at least two hours of continuing medical education in medical marijuana approved by the State Medical Board that will assist in diagnosing qualifying conditions, treating those conditions with medical marijuana and possible drug interactions.

Applicants planning to apply to The State Medical Board of Ohio for a Certificate To Recommend (CTR) must complete at least two hours of continuing medical education in a course or courses certified by the Ohio State Medical Association or the Ohio Osteopathic Association, per the medical board rules outlined in OAC 4731-32.

Although we recommend that all learners complete the entire curriculum for an in-depth and comprehensive
understanding of the material, the Ohio education requirements are fulfilled in the 7 modules highlighted below.

Completion of these 7 modules alone earns 2.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Purchasing a course grants each learner access to all 13 lessons and quizzes for up to one year (even upon completion).
Access will expire 365 days from the date of your course activation.

Topics Covered Include:

  • Diagnosing qualifying medical conditions

  • Treating qualifying medical conditions

  • Characteristics of medical marijuana
